dharma generation "x"
finding inspiration through two dharma "memoirs" of sorts. one is being black by angel kyodo williams with an accompanying hip hop compilation inspired by her text of the same title. another is a text i've only heard about, dharma punx, by noah levine. i've been following the work of his father, stephen levine, primarily his writing around relationships as a path to awakening. these two teachers help me to see the sound of dharma applied in the contexts of their lives and communities. one of the strengths, i've noticed, about buddhadharma has been its ability to merge, adapt and take root in various cultures and contexts while maintaining the integrity of that space - undominatingly. :-) these two friends / teachers on the path doin' the work, keepin' it real.
