The Dharma Coming Full Circle

Reconnected with a Pinoy brother this weekend whose work I've much respected in the community. He plays traditional, indigenous Philippine kulintang music (indigenous knobbed gong instruments mainly from southern Philippines) with an ensemble. We have a chance to catch up a bit and upon sharing and checking in, he shares with me that his family has been praktising in the tradition of Soka Gakkai (http://www.sgiphil.org/) which established itself in the Philippines in the late 1950s.

Well, what a great gift it was to know that my homie here was also a dharma brother. WOW! The Dharma coming full circle in my life through these "signs" and slowly growing seeds of iSANGHAmahal right in the 91950 hood. A gift from the universe indeed.

May all beings find happiness and the causes of happiness.
May all beings find peace.
May the Dharma continue to flourish and penetrate into the hearts of its praktisyoners (old and new) and all wonderful sentient beings on Earth.
May the wisdom teachings of the Buddhas throughout space and time find rich soil to take root within San Diego and in the lives of our friendships, families, and communities.
May all beings find their way back Home.

Wow, that is amazing to find a Pinoy brother who is also a buddhist. I've been searching for pin@y buddhists as well; there are some in the bay area but not a huge community as far as I've experienced. Thanks for visiting my site and for having yours up.
In peace, Rona
