people of color sitting group in the works to meet at the ucsd cross cultural center late in april (23rd?)...been watching this film about the women in the united states who resurrected the suffrage movement (alice paul - quaker woman) and have been screening parts of it with students. very well made, plus the soundtracks very niiiiice! slick hip substantive makes the revolution feel very sexy :-) in the best of ways. we are reading declaration of sentiments and i'm glad to have found this accompanying film to complete this experience/knowledge base with students.
also, tomorrow is FRIDAY :-) happiness then a spring break "vacation" of sorts...
plus, almost done with yearbook (just a small handful of pages to complete) and then we'll be all done. just waiting for proofs. yes to rest time and not having such a packed daily schedule...possible road trip with onelovetrust and, and...more nice surprises of things to bloom blossom burst during spring 2006!
(tonight i pray that students B preparin' for their test tomorrow...)
